Hello My Friend

Hello Everyone and Welcome! We are kicking off another Paper Al A Mode Challenge at the Outlawz.ning.com this week. Our Theme for this weeks Challenge is to us more than one form of media on your project. I hope you get a chance to stop by and see the Design Team's inspirational projects.

Our sponsor for the Challenge this week is:

Isn't she gorgeous!?! The images at A Day For Daisies are so sweet and fun to work with. I started by painting her skin with water color. I used a pearlescent water paint to paint the dress. The camera didn't show it very well but the dress has a gorgeous shimmer to it. I used distress inks to paint the hair and the birds. I also used markers on the hair. The Sentiment is from a Stampendous called Happy Messages. I added the pearly enamel dots for a little detail. I hope the card has inspired you in some way. I can't wait to see what you create! Have a blessed week!!

Love Flows from Heart to Heart

Good Morning Everyone! I'm so excited to tell you about a new Facebook Challenge Group that has started up. It's a Progressive Challenge and the Digi's are provided FREE. A new challenge starts every other Tuesday. This is the image we will be releasing on April 12th. It's called Cre8tive Hands Fans. There are Prizes, Freebies and loads of fun! I hope that you will check it out and take part in the challenges.

Good Morning Everyone, I'm so excited to tell you about a new Digi Challenge Blog, Creative Hands Friends. I've been asked to be part of the DT. The Challenges will run for two weeks so you have plenty of time to design your cards and enter them into the challenge. You have to use a Digi to be part of the challenge. It's that easy. Isn't that great! I can't wait see your projects in our Challenges! Good Luck!!

The Sponsor for these Challenges is:

  • I started out by coloring the image with Prisma Colored Pencils.
  • I used the Stitched Circle Die set from Gina Marie Designs. I used the Die one size larger to cut out the purple circle, too.
  • I cut my background paper to A2 size and put it in an embossing folder of daisies. I used the reverse side so that it would be a subtle touch.
  • The ribbon was added and tied into a bow.
  • I used foam tape to adhere the circles onto the card front for some dimension.
  • The sentiment is from Stampendous. It is called Sisters.
  • I added the heart shaped Jem for a little touch of sparkle.
I hope to see your creations with out Facebook group and on the blog. If you use the Cre8tive Hands images in the blog challenges you get better prizes....Yay! Have a blessed Day!

To My Sister

Hello Everyone and Welcome, Today I'm a GDT for Stamprints Digi Stamps Stop by their store and check out what's new. They are adding new Digi's every week and have some exciting stuff coming up this month.

I started out printing the image and erasing the extra ink. This is an important step because it removes the ink so you don't have as much trouble with it smearing.
I then water colored the image and used a Stitched Rectangle Die from Gina Marie Design Dies.
I matted it with a navy blue cardstock and wrapped some thread I had in my stash around the image and tied it off with a button.
I added half of a doily and some enamel dots for
detail.
For the sentiment I used the Stampendous Sisters Sentiment Set I won from their Blog Hop in January.
Everything is adhered to a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Card base.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. If you have any questions or comments please leave them in the box below. I love reading them and will respond to all of your questions. Have a Blessed Day!

Don't Do As I Did, Do As I Say

With Spring in the air and all that comes with it I have had Mother's Day on my mind. I want to pass on a message and a lesson learned the hard way. Don't do as I did. Instead do as I say.... and here's why.....
My Mom probably wasn't the type of Mother most of you had while growing up. We struggled for attention and approval from her. We didn't know any different and loved her anyway. As we grew older we all became more frustrated with the situation and we grew apart. I had the typical mother daughter relationship. It wasn't until she became ill that she realized what she had missed. All at once we became closer and developed a healthy adult relationship. I spent most of my days with my mom the last three years she was alive. It was the best three years of my life. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and miss her. Since mom passed away my sister and I have built a much stronger relationship and this is a great thing.
I guess I'm saying don't do what I did and miss out on a life with your parent. Instead do as I say and cherish every day you can with them because someday they won't be here anymore. I don't usually make Mother's Day cards because she isn't here anymore. I make cards for my sister and my daughters. Today the card is for my sister. I Love Her So.

  • I water colored the image and adhered it to blue cardstock with blue Jem brads in the corner's.
  • I have been doing the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and Kathy says to outline with a light blue to make everything pop. I thought I would give it a try. What do you think?
  • The Sentiment is from Stampendous and its the Sisters Set I won a couple months ago. I'm in love with this set and I've used it a couple of times now.
  • I adhered everything to a A2 size card.
What do you think? does the blue make it pop and give it a fresh finished look? Let me know in the comment box below. Have a Great and Blessed Day Everyone! Hugz
