I had so much fun designing the card this week. It is the first time I've worked with Digital images. The fact that the image is precious helped a lot. Well, Here is the card I designed for this challenge.
I started with a 4" x 6" piece of water color paper. I decided to use Prisma Premiere Color Pencils to color her (when I tried to do water coloring the ink smeared).
I used the Tag Die from Sizzix to cut her out and started my layout on a 5" x 7" card.
I adhered red card stock down and then 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" snowflake paper was added to the right side of the card.
I adhered her to a green piece of card stock and cut it down to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2". Once she was trimmed I adhered her to the left side of the card and added the gold cord.
The sequins where added for a touch of detail.
I decided to use the "Joy to the World" button as a yo-yo. I tied a piece of thread in a small bow and glued that to her finger.
This card had its challenges but I enjoyed learning how to work with Digi's and it has opened a new window of opportunities for me. The Digital World of Stamps are SO much more affordable and you can do so many things with them. I will be exploring this a lot more.
